PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND, January 20th, 2009 – Lottomatica’s subsidiary GTech Printing Corporation (GPC) announced that it has been chosen by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) as one of its instant-ticket printers, under a five-year contract, which is scheduled to commence immediately.
BCLC is the first of several opportunities for GPC in Canada. The contract provides for five one-year extension options, and is the result of a competitive procurement. “We are extremely excited about BCLC selecting GPC. This is yet another opportunity for us to showcase our customer service capabilities and deliver high quality products to a new customer,” said Ross Dalton, GTech Senior Vice President of Printed Products and Licensed Content. “BCLC is one of several opportunities for GPC in Canada. This opportunity signifies that customers see us as a leading instant-ticket provider in a particularly competitive environment. We look forward to enhancing BCLC’s instant-ticket program and providing exciting new game content for many years in the future.”

GPC will begin manufacturing instant tickets for BCLC at its printing facility in Plant City, Florida, and will transition to a new state-of-the-art press and facility in Lakeland, Florida, in the spring of 2009.
