This project's moving forward is a reflection of the confidence that international firms, like GTECH, have in making direct investments in the Dominican Republic, largely due to the institutional integrity that now exists.”
Mr. Guzman added, “We have worked hard to achieve this great step. Our experience for more than two decades in the area of traditional games in our country, together with the experience and technology of GTECH, ensures from the beginning that we will be well positioned to become the leader in online lotteries operating in the Dominican Republic.”
Under the terms of the integrated services contract, GTECH will provide and maintain an Enterprise Series online lottery central system and install 750 Altura® terminals prior to the startup of the online system scheduled in early 2009.
