PROVIDENCE, RI – (October 29, 2007) – GTECH Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lottomatica S.p.A., announced that it will provide 650 new combination video slot/electronic bingo gaming terminals to Manitoba Lotteries Corporation (MLC). GTECH’s video lottery subsidiary, Spielo Manufacturing ULC (Spielo), will design and deliver the terminals and the associated bingo systems to MLC for installation at MLC’s two casinos – McPhillips Street Station Casino and Club Regent Casino. Spielo will also provide MLC with refreshment of games over a five-year period, commencing in 2009. This announcement follows a competitive procurement process.

Spielo’s terminal solution is a lottery industry first, offering an unprecedented level of integration between video slot and electronic bingo functionality in a live bingo environment. The terminal’s integrated electronic gaming machine application will enable the play of video slot games, electronic bingo games linked to live bingo draws, or both types of games at the same time on a split screen.

“Spielo put forth the most comprehensive bid, encompassing all of the functionality that MLC required,” said W. Bruce Turner, GTECH and Lottomatica S.p.A. CEO. ” The new Spielo terminals will replace electronic bingo-only terminals currently in use, and will change the way video slot and electronically-assisted live bingo games have traditionally been delivered to the player base in the past. The floor space at MLC’s casinos can now be utilized as a video slot floor, an electronically-assisted live bingo floor, or a floor that allows patrons to play video slot games and electronic bingo games at the same time. This versatility allows MLC to maximize the utilization of the floor space .”

The McPhillips Street Station Casino installation is scheduled for the spring of 2008 and the Club Regent Casino installation is scheduled for the fall of 2008. With respect to the product sale to MLC and fees for new games, GTECH, through its subsidiary, Spielo, expects to receive revenues of approximately US$19 million beginning in 2008.
